Matthew Gasper, LEP, President

Matthew Gasper has over thirty years of experience in environmental consulting. As our founder, Matthew has been responsible for project management and the coordination of all field activities. He has conducted site transfer audits (comprehensive site investigations including a review of chemical usage on-site, underground storage facilities and site history), and industrial compliance audits. He also has extensive comprehensive experience preparing audit reports, stating observations and providing recommendations toward compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations.

Matthew has conducted over 9,000 environmental audits for financial institutions and national corporations throughout the United States. Matthew has vast expertise with Florida Administrative Codes 62-550, 62-761, 62-770, 62-775.

Matthew is a Certified Florida Environmental Assessor and Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP), member of the Florida Environmental Assessors Association, Registered Environmental Site Assessor (National Registry of Environmental Professionals) and has completed OSHA 40 Hour Health & Safety Training as well as OSHA 8 Hour Supervisor Health & Safety Training.

Shannon Nelson, MSP, LEP, Chief Operating Officer

Shannon Nelson joined EAS, Inc in 2016 and is EAS’ Chief Operating Officer. Shannon’s primary responsibilities include project management, client relationships, and web development. Shannon manages projects that consist of Phase I Site Assessments, Property Condition Assessments, Transaction Screening Processes and Records Search and Risk Assessments alongside with Jeanette Burton and Max Infinger. Prior to joining EAS, Shannon gained experience in working with environmental and real estate/ land use litigation for a private law firm as well as environmental legislation while working in the Florida Senate. Her background includes experience with Florida growth management statutes as well as grant writing in the State of Florida, with special attention to domestic water contamination, economic vitality, and sea level rise.

Shannon is an International Society of Technical and Environmental Professionals, Inc (INSTEP) Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) #414 as of November 2021.

Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and a Masters of Science in Planning degree in Environmental Planning and Natural Resource Development/Real Estate Development from Florida State University.

Jonathan (Max) Infinger, Environmental Specialist II

Jonathan Infinger joined EAS, Inc in 2022 as an environmental specialist. Jonathan is a Villages native and a recent graduate from the University of Florida. Jonathan’s responsibilities include historic background research for environmental assessments, assisting with site inspections, and environmental report compilations. Jonathan has interests in nutrient management and has worked on research projects studying phosphorus leaching.

Jonathan is a member in good standing of the International Society of Technical and Environmental Professionals, Inc (INSTEP) and completed the Phase I Environmental training course in November 2022.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Operations Management, Specializing in Soil and Water Sciences from the University of Florida. Jonathan is currently working towards his Masters of Science in Soil and Water Sciences with a concentration in Environmental Science from the University of Florida.

Jeanette Burton, Environmental Specialist II

Jeanette Burton joined EAS, Inc in 2021 as an environmental specialist. Jeanette is a Tampa native and a graduate from Elon University. Jeanette’s responsibilities include historic background research for environmental assessments, assisting with site inspections, and environmental report compilations. Jeanette is passionate about environmental conservation, field research, environmental protection and remediation as well as science education. Her background includes wetlands research and delineations.

Jeanette is a member in good standing of the International Society of Technical and Environmental Professionals, Inc (INSTEP) and completed the Phase I Environmental training course in November 2021.

Jeanette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Ecological Sciences with a minor in Biology from Elon University.

Savannah Parks, MS, Natural Resource Specialist

Savannah Parks joined EAS in 2019 as a staff scientist with a specialization in wetland delineations, permitting and comprehensive environmental assessments. Savannah works directly with stakeholders to navigate and translate environmental policy at a local, state, and federal level. Prior to working at EAS, she worked as a project manager amongst engineers on a variety of civil development, grant funded, and public and private projects. Savannah holds licenses to survey, excavate, and relocate the endangered gopher tortoise as well. Savannah additionally performs site visits for Phase I Environmental Assessments.

Savannah is a member in good standing of the International Society of Technical and Environmental Professionals, Inc (INSTEP) and completed the Phase I Environmental training course in November 2022.

Savannah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Forestry Resources and Conservation with a specialty in Natural Resource Policy from the University of Florida.
